Conference Information

Each year Nevada FBLA offers its members opportunities to develop leadership abilities and showcase the skills they have acquired through competitive events. The following is a list of conference opportunities.

Fall Leadership Extravaganza

Nevada FBLA and the Nevada Department of Education have partnered with Nevada DECA, Nevada HOSA, and Nevada FCCLA to bring the Fall Leadership Extravaganzas to members each fall. We offer the Fall Leadership Extravaganzas in each of our three regions!

National Fall Leadership Conference

National FBLA offers opportunities to all members to travel to different locations each year to attend the National Fall Leadership Conference. Three sites are chosen from around the Untied State each year. These conferences usually take place during the month of November.

Nevada chapters are strongly encouraged to attend the Phoenix, Arizona NFLC.  Please note that Nevada will not be arranging a group travel package for the NFLC's. Chapters need to register themselves and make their own arrangements to attend.

State Business Leadership Conference:

Each year Nevada has a State Business Leadership Conference (SBLC) in April.  The purpose of this conference is to elect state officers, conduct state business, offer leadership and career workshops to members, and conduct competitive events to determine state winners who will represent Nevada at the national level.

Institute for Leaders:

This three-day seminar is a focused leadership experience for state and local chapter officers as well as members and advisers. It offers a unique chance to build leadership and career skills that last a lifetime in tracks focusing on entrepreneurship, communication and FBLA leadership. It is held in conjunction with the National Leadership Conference each year.

FBLA: June 27-28, 2009 in Orlando, FL

National Leadership Conference
June 26-July 2 in Orlando, FL

The National Leadership Conference (NLC) concludes the year's activities and sets the stage for the upcoming school year. The NLC is held each summer in a major American city. FBLA and PBL members and advisers participate in business-related and leadership development workshops, tour business and corporate facilities, elect national officers, and participate in national competitive events. The Professional Division holds its annual business meeting during the PBL National Leadership Conference. The NLC Guide, the official information and registration form for the conference are mailed to local chapters in early spring.
